This area covers the combined function of finance and commerce as outlined below.

Finance is an arm of NSW Treasury.  The portfolios’ role is to advise Treasury and Government on how to best manage state finances and related policies.

The Office of Financial Management within government is the keeper, adviser and watchdog for NSW on economic conditions and issues. It covers the borrowings, capital investments, working capital and financial risk management for the state. It’s the engine room for the successful financial management of the state of NSW.

As Shadow Minister for finance, my role is to keep the Government in check on behalf of the NSW people and ensure that strong economic conditions are maintained.
