Greg has been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 2000 and a key part of Shadow Ministry since 2005.
Gregs' previous background as a successful commercial lawyer has been instrumental in preparing him for his role in the financial management of New South Wales, formerly as the Shadow Treasurer and now as Shadow Minister for Financial Management. Greg is also the Shadow Minister for Housing Strategy, Industrial Relations and the Illawarra. These portfolios are at the heart of the people of New South Wales, their jobs, homes and economic security.
Greg has had a crucial role in forcing the present government to be more transparent in their financial management of the taxes and finances of the people of New South Wales. He has exposed regular inconsistencies in the budget, highlighted blowouts and delays in promised infrastructure projects and kept pressure on for government accountability of New South Wales taxpayers' money.
Looking forward, Greg is one of the key drivers of ‘Planning for Prosperity’ (see In Focus section), a consultation process that will provide the New South Wales community with an opportunity to contribute to the further development of the Coalition's economic and fiscal priorities. Greg is part of a committed team that will ensure strong economic management of New South Wales, based on a clear set of economic and fiscal commitments.
Greg also has a strong passion for the environment and has been involved in numerous community activities including a former directorship of Clean Up Australia and Clean Up The World.
